Some family members are

not in good health.

As the webmaster,

I want to offer all my love

and support.

We are all here for one another in good times

and for the bad.

It all started with the Sicilian Six...

THE CARBONE FAMILY

Yesterday, February 23, 2010, The Carbone Family lost one of it's sons.

MICHAEL CARBONE

(December 7th, 1958 - February 23, 2010)

More information to come.

On February 20, 2010, the family sadly lost one of it's

oldest and one of it's greatest guys ever.

NED CARBONE

(August 13, 1915 - February 20, 2010)

More information to come.

Michael passed away last night at 5:00 PM at Sutter General Hospital in downtown Sacramento. A number of family members including myself, Elizabeth, Tatsuya, his mother Mary, his sisters Terrie and Toni, his cousin Cindy and his brother-in-law Virgil had all spontaneously met for a visit and spent a good portion of the afternoon with him. Though he appeared to be asleep, his intermittent responses let us know he could still hear us. Within the hour of their leaving, I believe Michael felt the time was right; he chose it and it was painless and quiet and peaceful. And it was just the two of us. Love, for now, Linda Carbone.

Formerly a veteran of the U.S. Army, Ned retired after bartending for 43 years at West House. Ned loved sports, but his passion was baseball. He will be long remembered for his great outlook on life and his positive attitude. Ned is survived by his children Genevieve Baumann, Barbara Black, Edna Lambeth, and Diana Korte, grandchildren Vicki Bustos, Marie Lawrence, Dana Nunally, Derek Korte, Ed Carbone, Gary Lambeth, Tammy Taylor, Jeff Baumann, and Jody Sassamann, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and brother Victor Carbone. He was also loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Viewing will be held on Sunday, Feb. 28, from 3 - 7 p.m. at COCHRANE'S CHAPEL OF THE ROSES, Roseville, and a service will be held on Monday, March 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church. Interment, Roseville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Roseville High School Baseball, 1 Tiger Way, Roseville, CA 95678, or to hospice.
